Notification Banners

The Personnel Tracker app will show a banner notification in a few different scenarios that are outlined below.

Tracking Disabled

This banner is displayed when a Tracking Unit is not selected. See the article on pairing a new Tracking Unit for more information.

Offline Mode Banner

This banner indicates that the app is operating in offline mode and will not communicate with the NEON Cloud.

Cloud Connectivity Banners

These banner are most often displayed when the Android is transitioning between using Wi-Fi and cellular communications. The banner indicate that one or more NEON Cloud services cannot be reached.

No Internet Connection detected

Indicates that no network connection is available on the device.

NEON Online Services disconnected

Indicates that all NEON Cloud services are unavailable or unreachable.

NEON Online Data Services disconnected

Indicates that NEON Cloud Data services are unavailable. Map data such as buildings and floorplans will not be sent up or downloaded from the NEON Cloud.

NEON Online Location Services disconnected

Indicates that NEON Cloud Realtime Location services are unavailable. Realtime views of other devices or on other devices will not recieve location updates.

Tracking Unit Firmware Update Available

This banner is displayed when there is a Tracking Unit connected and there is a firmware update available for it. The firmware can be loaded and installed by tapping on the “update banner” and following the updater wizard.
